Peak Performance From the a New Engine
The basis of this new Harley is the redesigned engine that blends power with fuel efficiency. The 750 cc High Output Revolution X™ takes advantage of a 12:1 compression ratio, which refers to the amount of air the piston compresses in the cylinder before it ignites the fuel/air mixture. What this means for you is that this engine burns fuel more efficiently, and gets more power out of the same amount of fuel. This provides the blow-your-hair-back power while being surprisingly moderate on fuel consumption.
The suspension was re-engineered, too, to create the perfect blend of handling and comfort. The rear suspension uses a piggyback reservoir system, while the front features a unique 43 mm inverted fork design. The engineers then shifted the riding posture to make it so riders can lean a full 40 degrees in corners, meaning you can take those corners harder but with more control than you ever imagined.
Stylish, Comfortable, and Fun to Ride
As with any Harley-Davidson®, style and attitude are important with the Street Rod™. Designers went with the Dark Custom™ design, which features blacked out components and a customized look. Everything from the wheels to the Screamin’ Eagle® Buckshot Exhaust is finished in black. Up top, a Daymaker Projector LED headlight casts out the darkness in front of drag style handlebars. Look a little closer, and you’ll find even more detailing and customization. The fuel tank is trimmed in black, and even the axle nut covers are and footpegs add to the dark vibe. While previous Harleys used chrome, this bike’s dark look absorbs light and draws stares from envious onlookers. If you’d like to put your own spin on it, you can also customize your own bike.
